Packaging Options for Private Label Nasal Strips & Mouth Tape

For early-stage brands, packaging is the brand launch button: a standard product in your own packaging usually beats deep product customization on a first order — lower risk, faster, and it still looks like a real brand.

The four packaging decisions

The packaging-first path

  1. Sample test — confirm the product version first.
  2. Standard product selection — no product-body customization needed for launch.
  3. Custom pouch / box artwork — we confirm artwork specs, printable areas and color matching.
  4. First order MOQ check — packaging-only usually carries the lowest minimum.
  5. Bulk order after feedback — scale or deepen customization once the market answers.

Before bulk: the packaging confirmation checklist

Good suppliers don’t just take your file and start production — they confirm the details you think are already decided:

  • SKU list and quantity per SKU for this PO.
  • Which packaging file maps to which SKU (and which designs in the file are not in this order).
  • Individual wrapping: printed or plain?
  • Release liner: printed or plain?
  • Color confirmation — exact match or acceptable near-match.
  • Whether a packaging pre-production sample is needed.
  • Shipping method, including express options.

Frequently asked questions

Which packaging format should a new brand choose first?

Usually a custom pouch: strong shelf presence, moderate minimums, works for DTC and marketplaces. Retail boxes suit shelf retail and gift positioning; individual sachets add per-unit hygiene feel and brand surface. Pack count (15–30 strips, customizable) changes the economics of each.

Can the release liner be printed?

Not by default — liner printing is confirmed per spec. The release liner (backing paper on the strip) and the individual wrapping (printed outer wrapper) are separate items, and we confirm each one explicitly before bulk production.

I have an SVG/AI file with several designs. Is that enough?

Almost — we’ll confirm which designs in the file apply to this PO, which SKU each maps to, whether colors need exact or acceptable-near matching, and whether wrapping and liner are printed. Files alone don’t equal confirmed production specs, and that check is free insurance.
